ALLDAQ ADQ-63 / ADQ-LINK-I2C-MUX

Product information "ALLDAQ ADQ-63 / ADQ-LINK-I2C-MUX"

The ALLDAQ ADQ-63 is an I2C multiplexer, buffer, isolator and level shifter

I2C Multiplexer: The I2C "master channel" at the input can be designed as a standard I2C or as an ADQ link. This addresses a multiplexer module. This I2C or ADQ-Link bus is then extended to up to 3 additional channels. The multiplexer has 8 switchable I2C addresses, so that other boxes can be used simultaneously around several slaves with identical I2C addresses.

I2C Extension: In addition to the conventional I2C bus as output, the ADQ-I2C modules also offer specially buffered interfaces - the ADQ-LINK. This allows 2 boxes to be used as an extension to cover long distances of several 100 meters via a 2-wire twisted pair cable. At the end a conventional I2C can be picked up again. See also the ADQ-63 or ADQ-151/-63 kit.

I2C Isolator: The buffered SCL/SDA lines are capacitively isolated to provide protection against ground loops, for example in case of different GND reference of the end devices on long lines.

I2C Level Shifter: The internal pull-ups at 5V can be switched off by software. Thus, external pull-ups can be used to work with other voltage levels

Note: The power supply can be provided via any interface. The supply cable must be max. 2m.
