ALLDAQ I2C
ALLDAQ has created a series of modules to make I2C easier to use. Due to the different functionalities of the box products, you have numerous possibilities to expand your I2C structures and make them less sensitive to interference.
I2C multiplexer: A multiplexer module is addressed via a directly connected I2C line on the ADQ-63 or a new master interface via USB on the ADQ-153, which then extends this I2C bus to up to 3 additional channels. The multiplexer has 8 switchable I2C addresses, so that other boxes can be used simultaneously around several slaves with identical I2C addresses.
I2C extension: In addition to the conventional I2C bus, the ADQ-I2C modules also offer specially buffered interfaces called ADQ-LINK. This allows 2 boxes to be used as an extension to cover long distances of several 100 meters via a 2-wire twisted pair cable. At the end you can use the ADQ-LINK or your usual I2C again. I2C Isolator: The buffered SCL/SDA lines of the ADQ-LINK connections are capacitively isolated to provide protection against ground loops, for example, if the GND reference of the end devices differs on long lines.
I2C level shifter: The internal pull-ups at 5V can be switched off by software. Thus, external pull-ups can be used to work with other voltage levels.
